Neon Drift Alley
★★★★☆ 4.0
Neon Drift Alley keeps things simple: swipe to steer, tap to drift, chase a better lap. The tracks are short and colourful, and the sense of speed is genuinely good even when the phone is throttling itself on a hot day.
It's the kind of game you play in bursts. A single race takes under two minutes, so it fits neatly into a commute. Unlocking new cars gives you a reason to keep going, and the handling stays consistent enough to reward practice.
There isn't much depth beyond beating your own times, but for pure pick-up-and-go fun it does its job. Everything works offline, which sealed the deal for us.
