Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is a story-driven adventure with a gorgeous, gloomy art style. You explore a deserted coastal town, solve environmental puzzles and piece together what happened to the people who left. The atmosphere carried us the whole way through.

The puzzles are logical without being cruel — most of the time a bit of exploration and a second look at your surroundings is enough. We only reached for a hint once, and it felt earned rather than cheap.

It's a shorter experience, maybe four or five hours, but it's the kind you remember. Play it with headphones, ideally somewhere quiet. No connection needed at any point.
